As soon as pilots are aware of an active hi-jacking in the cabin, the air handling system should be injected with a nerve gas that simply imobilises everyone, hijackers, passengers and crew alike. Pilots of course have their own oxygen masks. The plane then lands and security boards to make arrests.
Nobody gets hurt this way. Video evidence used to convict. Screen passengers for masks.
