If busses switched their headlights off during daylight hours just calculate how much less fuel they would consume.
Secondly, when a bus is stationary at a depot or bus terminal for ten or fifteen minutes, or the driver is on a break, make it compulsory for the engine to be switched off.
These measures could save a significant amount of fuel and also cut down on exhaust fumes.
