Flt Lt Jon Egging of the Red Arrows lost his life on Saturday 20th August 2011. He ensured the safety of the public and brought his plane down in fields to ensure no one else was injured.

His actions were that of a true hero and deserve the highest award possible in the UK for non-combat gallantry.
