As with the Scottish referendum in 2014, British citizens aged sixteen or above on the date of the referendum should be given a say in the future of their country and its future relationship with the rest of Europe.
Article 50 should not be invoked until their opinions have been heard.

The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
