It is recognised that higher speeds result in the majority of road accidents as well as being less fuel efficient.

The UK National Speed Limit is currently 70mph, yet sales of cars are frequently promoted based on their being ability to reach speeds often in excess of twice this limit.

Cars should be physically limited to a maximum speed capability in accordance to the National Speed Limit.
