By increasing the decibel limit on motorcycle and car exhausts would reduce the number of accidents from children,the elderly or anyone from not hearing a vehicle coming down the road,
It makes sense that chidren are far less likely to run into the road if they can hear a vehicle coming before they can see it.
A vehicles speed can be easier to tell by sound than sight.
