Rejected petition We call on Mayor Sadiq Khan & the UK Prime Minister to keep London in the EU

In London 59.9% voted to Remain in the EU in the referendum (up to 75% in some areas of London). The population of London is 8,538,689, bigger than Scotland at 5,295 m. It is democratically unacceptable for London to leave the EU. Sadiq Khan and the PM must negotiate to keep London in the EU.

London is one of the biggest of any EU regions. It is democratically unacceptable for London to leave the EU against the will of Londoners. It has a population bigger than Scotland (another region of UK) and EU countries Austria, Finland, Latvia, Slovenia, Denmark, and others. Its financial sector with access to the EU creates wealth that funds our NHS and other important institutions. We call upon Mayor Sadiq Khan and the UK PM (David Cameron or other) to negotiate to keep London in the EU.
