We propose the government impose a sanction on oil trading with Syria whilst President Bashar al-Assad and his government, or a similarly despotic government oppresses Syria’s people. In addition, we request that the British government support the creation of a sanction on oil trading with Syria by the EU and the UN to maximise the chances of wide-spread sanctions being imposed.
