Rejected petition amnesty for council tax arrears, for people on low income (under £15000 per year)

With the whole country suffering, why do us, the lowest paid workers, have to suffer quite so much? if you get into arrears of any sort you get time and a chance to "catch up" except with Council tax . . .its straight to court and on goes another few hundred pounds (which just puts the nail in the coffin) and low and behold, very quickly a small debt becomes a huge debt which you still cant pay . . blood out of a stone comes to mind! but hey, you could always get the sack and join the dole queue and get everything paid!!!
