Rejected petition Pass legislation confirming that the UK will leave the EU.
Following the EU referendum result on the 23rd June there has been a growing division within the country questioning the validity of the referendum and whether it is binding on the government. This is creating a level of instability and division within the country.
More details
To pass immediate legislation confirming that the UK government acknowledges the will of the people in the European Referendum and taking the necessary steps to leave the EU. As part of this process there should be a period of consultation within the UK ensuring that the views of the relevant stakeholders are taken account of during the negotiations to leave.
The negotiations should be overseen by a cross party group to ensure that any agreements reached have a broad consensus of support.
