The legal age at which an individual should be able to consume alcohol should be reduced to 16.

In the present situation, people are deemed responsible enough to have children two whole years before they can buy an alcoholic drink. This is absurd.

A far more mature approach to alcohol would help to tackle the culture of binge-drinking by making young people more familiar with it, as has been the case in Holland.
