As a pensioner with a small private pension I am seeing the stocks and shares in which my fund is invested being subjected to artificial fluctuations caused by traders using the stock markets as a means to make short term gains. Any financial institution that buys shares should be made to hold those shares for a minimum period, say 3 months and thus stabilse the stock markets and make pension funds more stable
