HS2 needs to be built to encourage people to stop using internal flights and to make communting across the country faster and easier.

HS2 is the first part of a network planned to extend to Scotland via Leeds and Manchester. This will provide a viable alternative to internal flights. Without HS2, there will be no national high speed rail network.
