Rejected petition Do not invoke Article 50 without considering all Britons
In the EU referendum, just 27% of the 65 million people in the UK voted to leave – some based on misleading claims. Unlike electing a new government, leaving is permanent. 14 million children and many of the 5 million Britons abroad did not have a vote, despite it changing their lives forever.
More details
In the coming months, MPs will be asked to vote on an act to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, triggering our exit from the EU. MPs are duty bound to represent the interests of their constituents.
Therefore, for any vote on Article 50, we ask MPs to act in the long-term interests of all their constituents and fellow citizens - especially our children who will have to live with this decision for decades to come.
