There are many businesses that use loopholes to run up hundreds of thousands of pounds of business rates and then fold and start up again not ever paying a penny.

This isn't fair on the hard working business owners of this country, who pay their way and play by the rules.

Give local Councils the power to close retail premises down, who do not pay and name and shame them and force sale of landlord properties who use holding company names with no assets to avoid ever paying rates.
