Rejected petition Direct public annually Elected Matrons as boss of hospitals and Public Advocate of Patient Safety and Involvement in Decision Making about their care

Statutory direct public annually elected Matron as boss of hospitals, above all other medical and managerial staff in hospitals, to be in charge of ensuring full patient / patient's family involvement in their care and decision making about their continuance of full therapy and nil resuscitation decisions. With no medical / admin staff permitted to make such decisions, without heeding patient's decision as well as their family's opinions (partner and children over 18 years of age).
This direct public annually elected Matron to replace Quality Care Commission and Monitor and to work in hospital, with a support team of professional nurses appointed by him/her. Her / His employment is entirely by public election only. The direct public elected Matron to belong to advanced professional associations and be a long experienced medical professional.
