Rejected petition Parliament to only consider debating petitions signed by 60% of the electorate

If we're looking at a turnout of 75% of the electorate being sufficient for referenda to be ratified, it seems like 100,000 people is very low for Parliament to consider petitions.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

At the moment, petitions can be signed by any British citizen or UK resident - not all of whom are eligible to vote (for example, petitions can be signed by people under 18). It's therefore not clear how we could establish whether 60% of the electorate had signed a petition.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
