Rejected petition Bring in Proportional Representation (not AV) now before we lose our democracy.

The representation of MPs, following the last general election, did not reflect the voting wishes of the electorate. This was due to the 'First past the post' system. The system needs to be changed along with the funding of Political Parties from tax revenues only.

There should also be heavy financial penalties for Parties which renege on manifesto commitments when they come to power; “fail to mention” major policy changes in their manifesto, which they then implement; the deliberate misinterpretation of fact in the run-up to elections.
