Closed petition Grandparent rights for looked after children
Closed on
If a child is removed from there birth parents there are normally two options, foster parents or grandparents. If a child goes in to foster care a social service departmentr will deal with all legal aspects of the case and grant the foster parents an allowence to look after the child as well as other benifits such as holidays, days out and child care arangment. if grandparents look after the child they recieve no help and even after deal with all the legal proceedings which can cost thousands of pounds. A child should where possable be kept with famiilly and It is time that grandparents are given the same rights as foster parents
