Rejected petition Invoke Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union immediately

On 23rd June 2016 the people of the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union.

A means of doing this is Article 50 of the EU Treaty.

The UK must give formal notice of intention to withdraw to the European Council.

Recall Parliament and have it respect the will of the people.

More details

Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union can be found here:
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/etudes/BRIE/2016/577971/EPRS_BRI(2016)577971_EN.pdf

Invoking Article 50 immediately will allay concerns that the will of the people might not be enacted.

The two-year timescale for withdrawal will provide focus for the withdrawal negotiations.

The two-year withdrawal timetable can be extented if in all parties' interests.
