Rejected petition Make final EU exit conditional on a referendum approving a specific plan
The EU referendum revealed significant concern and frustration amongst the British public, but its interpretation is unclear: 1) Leave won by a small majority. 2) It is clear that many statements from Leave were untrue. 3) No specific plan was presented. 4) Some have voted Leave as a protest.
More details
1) The majority was just 51.9% to 48.1%. Even Nigel Farage argued that a vote to Remain at 52/48 would have left unfinished business, the same is true of a narrow victory for Leave.
2) Senior Leave campaigners have begun to admit that key claims were misleading or untrue: http://goo.gl/xclVF7 http://goo.gl/3y5985
3) At no point has a concrete plan been presented.
4) The vote has exposed valid concerns from ordinary people, which are unlikely to be addressed by withdrawal http://goo.gl/3mx5S6
