Rejected petition Introduce new rules to prevent heckling and jeers during debates.
Continual heckling and jeers between parties in the House of Commons is preventing important issues being dealt with adequately. In no other walk of life would this be acceptable.
More details
If in any other job or any discussion of any kind people acted in this manner there would be repercussions, but while making important national and international decisions school yard gibes seem to be rewarded. With the majority of the public feeling disconnected from the political class I feel that politicians presenting themselves in an orderly manner and concentrating on the issues at hand would be a start in bridging the divide and re-engaging the disenfranchised.
