Rejected petition Formation of a Government of National Unity

We the undersigned call for HMG to form a Government of National Unity, comprising representatives of all parties and sides proportionate to the outcome of the EU Referendum. It must propose and implement a settlement dealing with the relationship between the nations and between each and the EU.

The new settlement must be developed within 12 months and approved by 60% majority of the total electorate in each UK nation. It is time for politicians to rise above party and referendum divisions and cooperate for the benefit of all citizens of the UK. We are known throughout the world as an open, fair and tolerant society which can cope with and celebrate plurality of voices. We now expect our elected representatives to demonstrate these values in abundance and provide consensual leadership.
