Petition Keep May Day Bank Holiday

We the undersigned propose that the government heeds the public's wishes and maintains May Day as a public bank holiday. Furthermore we kindly request that the government also enacts a bank holiday currently proposed as 'Trafalgar day' or 'UK day' between the August bank holiday and Christmas.

As a nation we have been celebrating May Day for generations and it is our wish that we maintain that tradition while establishing a further bank holiday as described above.
