This petition was submitted during the 2015-2017 parliament
Rejected petition Dismiss petitions demanding a revote as a result of the prevailing decision.
A revote would oppose democracy: the right to vote, which has stood the test of time since 6th century B.C; the fact that democracy is still prevalent today is a testament to its effectiveness. Also, many people became martyrs to give us democratic rights so revoting dishonours their sacrifices.
