Rejected petition Hold another EU Remain or Leave Referendum if the EU is reformed

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to commit to another EU Referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU if the EU changes in any way that could affect the result compared with the preceding referendum, which was close and risks the UK splitting apart as well as civil unrest.

More details

The 23rd June referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU produced a close Leave result that has resulted in splits across the UK.

A very small number of issues swung the result. If one of these issues can be resolved to the satisfaction of a large number of voters, another referendum would be likely to produce a decisive Remain vote, resulting in increased unity.
