Rejected petition Make it illegal for a Politician to knowingly lie to the public

When doing this to further their political aims
The penalty for breaking said law to not exclude: A Term of Imprisonment, a Fine of at least five times their Annual Income and Disbarring from any public office for a minimum term of five years

During the recent European Referendum lies were told by many of the Politicians involved and repeated to such an extent that they became "established Fact" when they remained total lies.
This caused voters who were starved of real facts to believe their lies and vote accordingly. This needs to stop
