The EU citizens living in the UK have invested time and money to build lives in the UK. They did so due to an implied promise by the UK that they would be able to stay for as long as they pleased. The UK must now honour that promise.

Their future must not become a political football either nationally or internationally. All leaders and potential leaders of UK parties should Immediately state their unconditional intent to allow these citizens to stay and pass corresponding legislation as soon as possible.

The uncertainty these people have been subjected to is cruel. It is a matter of both national honour and simple humanity.

They did not vote to leave us. We voted to leave them.
