Petition Reference (Right to a reference from an employer)

Workers should have a right to a reference when leaving employment and a right to appeal any wrong information that is written or said about them.

All to often a reference is left to word of mouth from a previous employer.

The employee can be unaware of what is being said about them and cannot answer or appeal any wrongs said about them this can lead to a person being denied future employment and the person is not even aware as to why they are being denied employment.

This secret and corrupt system must be stopped.

Bad employers can stop employees from leaving with the threat that they will not be given a reference unless the employer despenses with their services.

In a Democracy this cannot be allowed to continue!
