The cost of living for the majority of UK citizens is punitive. The lowest band of income tax rate at 20% is unaffordable for many. The tax free bands are too low. Families are homeless and hungry. If companies are to get tax breaks, citizens should too. Reduction in VAT will stimulate the economy.
