OFSTED is a failed organisation and wrongly judges schools on self generated "evidence" and is further compromised by the variability in the competence of its inspectors who are more often than not retired headteachers who have been out of education for a significant period of time. Schools should be assessed by local authority inspectors, who have a better understanding of the context in which the school works, working in conjunction with, rather than against, the school.
