The current government is allowing the EU to introduce new regulations for animal laboratories in this country to bring the UK in line with the rest of Europe.
Current welfare laws insist that animals surplus to requirements in laboratories (often the young - puppies, kittens, ferrets ect) are killed by being humanely put to sleep - injection. The new law allows for them to killed by a "percussive blow to the head". basically clubbed to death.BRITAIN HAS THE OPTION TO SAY NO but is not doing so. Is that because drug companies want to save money do you think. as reported in the Daily Mail?.
