Rejected petition Tell David Cameron to stop the slaughter of whales in the Faroe islands
In the Faroe Islands around 900 whales are brutally murdered in the 'Grindadrap' slaughter every summer when they are driven to shore and hacked to death by the Faroese people. The hunt is illegal and in breach of the Berne Convention and must be stopped.
More details
Murdering whales is illegal. We as a nation can not stand by and let this continue any longer. This is our whale population that is being destroyed.
There is compelling evidence that most of the whale pods that are slaughtered, are thrown back into sea. This is not conservation or a means of food source and it is our duty to protect whales passing our oceans on there annual migration.
