Petition Change the way political parties are funded.

Political Parties should be funded from tax revenues only. There should be heavy financial penalties for Parties which renege on manifesto commitments; “fail to mention” major policies in their manifesto which they then implement.

Such funding would help achieve a 'level playing field' for all parties and the removal of rich backers with vested interests and agendas. Financial penalties would help clean up campaigning prior to elections and restore a degree of trust in politicians and the system.
