Whilst membership of a Trade Union is an entitlement for all governmenr employees, for those that progress beyond simply being a member to actually working for the benefit of the Trade Union as a shop steward, area organiser etc then their salary from the government should cease as soon as they commence trade union duties! At no time should the tax payer be expected to fund any Trade Union activities within the public sector and the current practicies should cease immediately! Government salaries should only be paid for work done on behalf of the said government and nothing else!
