Petition Guarantee the estimated £3.8 million of HLS funding for the New Forest.

There will be a £3.8 million gap in funding for the New Forest Higher Level Stewardship Scheme for 2019 and 2020 once the UK officially leaves the EU.

The scheme is vital to protecting the New Forest's unique environment. That's why we're calling on the government to continue funding the scheme.

The New Forest Higher Level Stewardship Scheme is a formal partnership between the Verderers, the Forestry Commission and the New Forest National Park Authority.

It has:
Restored miles of internationally-important habitats for wildlife
Supported the historic practice of commoning, which maintains the unique Forest landscape
Worked to identify & protect historic sites
