Rejected petition Maintain rights of UK citizens to be EU citizens if UK ceases as a member of EU

European Treaties caused UK citizens to become EU citizens but do not address the UK leaving the EU. Citizenship is an individual right and it would be a betrayal of fundamental human rights to cancel EU citizenship without consent, although UK citizens should be able to relinquish EU citizenship.
