Rejected petition Discuss / explain the legality of the 2016 EU referendum standing or otherwise
I would like parliament to discuss and explain the legality of the 2016 EU referendum voting on the basis that many people were miss led by the official slogans used by the Leave campaign, and have voted on that basis. A vote on the basis of untruths cannot be considered as being a legal vote.
More details
"Let’s give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week"
The Leave campaign have distanced themselves from this statement with their leadership even stating that this was “a mistake”.
"Turkey is one of FIVE new countries joining the EU" is a lie
The truth is that Turkey is one of FIVE new countries applying to join the EU. And whilst the UK remains as a member, then we are able to prevent this if we wish to do so. Votes cast using false information MUST be overturned upon appeal.
