An estimated 1.5 million people are addicted to prescribed tranquilisers. We call on the Goverment to debate putting in place dedicated withdrawal centres, and NHS funded support groups trained in tranquiliser addiction, to allow those affected a safe recovery, and the right not to be placed in groups where illegal drug users have a different withdrawal regime.
