There exists a need for a new national bank holiday between May and August. We propose new no fixed date, merely a floating day linked to the hottest / sunniest day of the year. That way everyone could have today off in the sunshine! This serves as a positive moral boost over unguaranteed weekends

There are precedents of floating days such as Royal events or public mourning. This should be seen as an equal floating day but with a much more positive morale boost for the nation.
