There is a need to simplify, regulate and cut out the 'grey' areas in tenancy agreements made by letting agencies and to make the fees fairer and more transparent. Credit check fees are extortionate as are the other fees that the agents impose. Young adults in particular find it hard to get onto the property ladder and are forced down the rental route. The whole system needs to be fairer to the tenant.
