Petition e-petition adding value to this process

e-petitions are static ideas, because they do not provide mechanisms to collect research material, add supporting ideas and because the initiator is not able to improve the e-petition details.
Peoples knowledge increase, their ideas evolve; the e-petition thus becomes stale and may lose currency.
Action = Debate how to improve and help ePetitions to become more dynamic, add new features to the site to allow users to grow ideas and content.
Prospective ideas: Supporters should be able to optionally: -
[1] Add an entry to explain - Why I support this petition.
[2] Add 1 question that’s related to the subject. To add value by introducing a 'related' debating point.
[3] Be able to return to the web site, enter a password and vote for any of the previous two points by incrementing a vote count.
[4] Remove their support to the petition in the event that they change their mind.
There should be 1 link to an ePetition wiki site where people can carry on the debate by updating the wiki.
