Thousands are spent on alcohol rehab per person every year, but little or no aftercare is provided. Aftercare works, is very cost effective and give alcoholics a support system in their recovery. As with most illnesses, alcoholism requires positive aftercare support that works and is cost effective compared to initial treatment. Is usually run by recovering volunteers, welcomes individuals at all stages of recovery and is run locally with minimal cost.
