Petition Change the motorway speed limit to 85 MPH.

The problem with motorways in UK that I find is that we have roads of good enough standard and management that could take up faster traffic. I Really find a problem where it is allowed to go up to 60 MPH on a narrow road with sharp bends but only 70 MPH on wide and safe motorway.

Many other countries in europe have much higher motorway speed limit road conditions: Belgium (74MPH), France, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland (80 MPH), Germany (NONE - unless stated otherwise)
In some of those countries where the speed limit of 80 MPH applies the motorway road conditions are far much worse than in United Kingdom.
