In a working environment, 16-17 year olds are paid a lower rate than an 18 year old. In most places 18 is when you are classed as an adult; yet, in transportation (buses, trains etc.), 16-17 year olds are asked to pay the adult fare, which, on some wages, are much more expensive to get.
Why was this petition rejected?
