Rejected petition Move sport on BBC 1 to a different, dedicated channel.

On 6th August 2016 I switched on the TV to watch my programmes. I was met with Olympics for the whole of the day and evening and all my usual programmes were not shown. I have to pay a TV licence by law and I consider that I should have more choice.

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
