Closed petition Have a referendum on term time leave from school for families, and not be fined

Many working families either cannot afford school holiday prices or parents cannot get time off work during the school holidays. Families feel that we are being penalised by being threatened with fines or prison and that children are missing out quality family time.

By having this referendum it will give families hope that the government is listening to families and understand there frustrations, school is very important to a child's future but so is the opportunity of spending really quality time with there family once a year for a one week or two week break.
