Rejected petition To place speed bumps on Shirland Lane so drivers cannot break the speed limit.

Shirland Lane is being used to drive high powered hired cars which continually break the 20mph speeding limit.

Shirland Lane is often used for children walking to the main community park, walking to and back from school, and playing on their front gardens.

There have been numerous accidents on this street with one child who was left critically injured, and now lives with a metal plate as part of her skull.

Furthermore, another teenager in 2006 nearly lost his leg, after many years of rehabilitation he is now able to walk.
