Antibiotic resistance is a major health problem. Much is caused by routine feeding or injecting of livestock to improve yields. This has stopped many antibiotics from working causing dangerous patient health issues and increased NHS costs. This resistance threatens ALL antibiotic effectiveness.

While there might be occasions when farm animals need antibiotics to treat specific illnesses, the wholesale use can only increase the risk of the evolution of resistant bacterial strains with fatal human consequences.
