Rejected petition Make first aid training mandatory for new parents!!

First aid training needs to be made mandatory and free for new parents. Babies and toddlers, choke. A lot. Whether it be on food, or in the bath. And as a parent myself, I have no clue what to do when my daughter chokes.

I am a parent myself, to a 15 month old.
Tonight as I was bathing my daughter, she fell forward and starting choking and gasping for air and turning red. I didn't have a clue what to do, apart from get her out and hit her back and put her across my lap. i was panicked and very scared.
I've never been given info by my health visitor or anything so have no clue what to do in this situation.
